A medical device can be anything from a functioning device, such as a pacemaker, to something such as a metal rod. As there are over 100,000 devices on the market, it is impossible to list everyone of them. Some of the more common devices are listed below:

Malpractice errors that can occur with regard to medical devices are such things as:
- Improperly recommending implantation
- Using the wrong device
